The company is having a shutdown starting 24th of December until 31st. Everyone was encourage to use their annual leave. (Australia Public Holidays: Dec. 25 & 26, 2012, Jan 1, 2013). Some of my fellow Filipino co-workers filed theirs, spending the festive season with their families back home. (ingget much!).
Since I already went home mid this year and used some here as well. Only few annual leave days are left. Not enough to make a bit longer vacation for the holidays (unless I'll file for without pay leave).
I miss home so much, but I just have to keep things as it is...
